Flashback is new and familiar all at once. While the band is new, its members have decades of experience entertaining crowds. Most of Flashback's musicians are recognizable as transplants from other popular West Michigan bands.

Tina Beveridge

Lead vocalist Tina Beveridge is most familiar to Flashback audiences. She has performed and recorded in West Michigan for years. Her powerful, trained voice enables Tina to sing everything from ballads to blues to rock to country. Tina has sung with several West Michigan bands, including her own Tina B and the Westside Cats, and you may hear some of Tinas original blues recordings played on radio station WYCE. Tina's vocal command and stage presence make her a valuable member of Flashback. When Tina isn't singing or tending to her kids, she's an administrative assistant at a Grand Rapids law firm.

Dan Doran

Dan is one of two music teachers who perform with Flashback. Dan started playing saxophone professionally in the 70s, and hes been playing ever since, picking up a degree in music education along the way. Dan has played with, among other groups, Aladdin and Mid Life Crisis. He is now half of the Flashback horn section with his brother, Dave, and contributes vocally and on keyboards. Dan has a wife and a son.

David Doran

Dave is the other half of Flashbacks horn section. He plays trumpet and bass for Flashback. Dave began playing professionally with his brother, Dan, in the 70s. After a several year break to obtain business and law degrees, start a family and develop a law practice, Dave re-entered the music scene in West Michigan in 2001 forming the Grand Rapids band Mid Life Crisis with, among others, Flashback lead singer, Tina Beveridge, and Flashback saxophonist, Dan Doran. After a great run with Mid Life Crisis, Dave left that group at the end of 2007 to form Flashback.

Bob Starkie

Lead guitarist, Bob Starkie, complements Flashback with great style and musical experience. During performances, Bob moves easily from laid-back jazz and ballad styles to screaming solos on Flashback's heavier rock songs. Bob is another Flashback member who has played for years with other bands in West Michigan and throughout the country. His experience includes 2 years of study at the Guitar Institute of Technology in Los Angeles, California. Bob is married with three kids and works in marketing and sales when he's not playing out with Flashback.

Thomas Taylor

Flashback Drummer Tom Taylor has been playing drums for 30 years. As a result of his musical influences over those years, he has mastered many musical styles, and is more interested in playing for the "groove" of a song, than merely playing fast with a lot of notes. Musicians and audiences have noted Tom's precise style and commitment to detail. Tom joins Flashback after a 10 year run with The Jim Cummings Band. He has shared the stage with such performers as the Beach Boys, The Tubes, Edgar Winter Group, Alice Cooper, Mitch Ryder, Dick Wagner and the Frost, and Confederate Railroad. Tom is married with 2 children and works in the wireless industry.

Mark Mainero

Mark is Flashback's other music teacher. He's a keyboardist and vocalist and is Flashback's vocal arranger. Detroit music enthusiasts might recognize Mark from his days with the popular Detroit-based bands West Grand Boulevard Band, Wrode Rat, and The Triumph Elite Orchestra. However, Mark's musical experience doesn't begin and end with rock or Motown. Mark also sang with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Temple Israel Choir, and the Detroit Concert Choir, where he served as a section leader and soloist. By the way, if you run into any of Mark's students at Forest Hills Pine Ridge Elementary School, keep in mind that theyll know Flashback by its alternate name Mr. Mainero's Band.

Steve Grody

It doesn't take long for Flashback audiences to appreciate Steve's impressive vocal strength and range. Steve has been singing for years for small groups and in church. He was, however, one of West Michigan's best-kept musical secrets. Flashback bassist, Dave Doran, discovered Steve singing for a small audience in Saranac, and persuaded Steve to join Flashback. Its a perfect fit. Steve handles the Boston, Journey and other first tenor vocal parts for the band. He also plays rhythm guitar for Flashback. Outside of the band, Steve is a computer software developer and is a husband and a father to 2 beautiful girls.

Rich Falk

Rich is Flashback's newest member. He brings solid sound engineering skills from years of working with large sound reinforcement companies in Michigan and in the Western US. Rich also plays bass for Flashback when the Flashback horns are called on to play.
